Lafayette Mold Remediation to a Historic Building

Older historic buildings are more susceptible to mold damage due to their very nature. Ironically, new buildings often have encapsulated construction which prevents the free movement of air to the exterior. Our demolition team stripped off the plaster and coatings on these mold infested walls and ceiling areas. The water leak was patched on the roof, and the poly sealing assisted in the drying process. As the air scrubbers were still working to capture spores, and mold and dust particles from the air, we "ice blasted" the exposed wood. These pressured CO2 pellets abraided the wood surfaces in a sanding effect, to give a good look while not using water as the contact agent. A light thermal fogging of an antifungal agent completed the remediation in preparation for the rehab.
