Flooding in a Lafayette Convention Center

The pooling water on the floor of this first photo shows that the floor was free of furnishings since a convention was scheduled in about four days. This allowed a large contingent of SERVPRO technicians to set up portable and truck mounted extraction pumps to remove most of the water within some hours. Our goal was to set up axial air movers to create a large vortex of air movement. Then the Low Grain Dehumidifiers could capture that moisture in the air and channel it out of the building. This process greatly enhances the return to a standard RH, relative humidity, of about 45% within two days.
